This summer, we invite elementary-aged children to adventure in the forest through song, story, art and play. We will explore handcrafts inspired by nature, and build community through stories and games. Our day will begin with a morning circle and music before moving into crafting, games and free play. Each day will include a specific Waldorf craft, forest exploration with time for fairy house building and fort creation, games in the field, quiet reading, drawing or story time inside and much more.
A typical camp day:
• 9:00 am: Gather for circle, songs and games
• 9:30-10:30 am: Morning craft, examples include watercolor painting, felting, drawing, book writing or illustrating and more
• 10:30-11:15 am: Snack and free play
• 11:15-12:15 pm: Forest exploration, with time for fairy house and fort building.
• 12:15-1:00 pm: Lunch and free play
• 1:00-2:00 pm: Story followed by inside activities including reading, writing, drawing and games
• 2:00-3:00 pm: Outside games in the field, water play and closing circle
