Eighth Grade Projects

Each year, eighth grade students work on a year-long project in which they explore an area of interest. The students each work with a mentor who guides them into forming a passion project. Snowshoes in Woodworking

The high school students have been making snowshoes with Woodworking Teacher Rob Palmer as the community engagement component of their Winter Main Lesson. Fine Arts: Grades 11 and 12

Acrylic Painting and Independent Studio The students in grade eleven were introduced to acrylic paints to continue developing the painting skills they cultivated last year in the watercolor block. Acrylic paint offers the opportunity to work both with transparency and opacity. Working from their own photographs the students used familiar visual information as a starting point. Hermit Island Zoology Trip

Our seniors made the trek to Hermit Island, Maine last month to study Zoology. Together with students from several other Waldorf schools, they spent their days in the tide pools and science lab each day.
