Knockout

I love watching my children play outdoors. Especially at school. One of my favorite memories is a day when I noticed my children, 1st and 3rd graders, playing knockout (the basketball game) with a large group of kids on the playground. Many of the kids, mostly boys, were older then my little girl and boy. Continue reading.

A Rose is Waiting for You

One of my favorite moments was the first day of school in 2012. I had just started working at LCWS. I was very excited for the Rose Ceremony. Rainforest Run

Remembering the sheer joy and friendship within the class, and the traditions, like the Rainforest Run, that held and continue to hold everyone together remains a warm spot in my heart. (Sharon Richards)

Freedom!

A builder and carpenter, he volunteered hour after hour on so many projects in the early days of the school. In this photo, he was helping to build our grade school; Charlie Continue reading.

First Day of School

I love this shot. Though it was more than ten years ago I remember the day well. It was the first day of first grade and I was beginning my second cycle as Class Teacher; I was wearing my favorite tie, and all my new charges and I were nervous and excited. B.Q. meets my Continue reading.

Lake Champlain Waldorf High School

Staff, students and friends of the Lake Champlain Waldorf High School gathered for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, September 8th, 2014, at the school’s new home next to Shelburne Museum. There was a short ceremony under sunny skies with singing, speeches, and a whole lot of cheering as the school community celebrated its stunning Continue reading.
