This summer, we invite you to our Turtle Lane Campus for hands-on experiences, stories, games, and lots of time outdoors. All of our day camps are led by LCWS teachers and offer a relaxed and fun-filled taste of our Waldorf curriculum. From basketball to music and the arts, we inspire campers to learn and play with joy, curiosity, and compassion. Not just for LCWS students, we welcome all children who love the outdoors and are ready to explore with us!
Register one child per transaction. If you are registering for multiple children, please “check out” separately for each child. In order to ensure we have all your child’s allergy and contact information, our system can only register one camper at a time. If you have any questions, please contact Maeve Taylor.

Set at a gentle pace, our days are just right for younger campers, with forest play, seasonal circle time, nature walks, stories, and quiet rest. Children will explore our play structures, sandboxes, and the 22 acres of forests and fields. The woods offer a blank canvas to foster creative play – a fallen down tree becomes a ship, a store, or a cozy house depending on the day. Painting, drawing, and simple nature-inspired crafts will be woven into the rhythm of the week. Singing and stories will engage and inspire our young campers. Our teachers lead the children through the rhythm of the day and help build friendships and a sense of community.

Basketball camp is for student athletes who are entering grades 5-8 in the fall and are ready to dedicate themselves to the game. The camp will be a chance to learn and refine your basketball skills with Mr. Macdonald. Through drills and scrimmages, players will have fun with fellow basketball enthusiasts, while pushing themselves to grow as a player and teammate. Through individual instruction and goal setting, this camp will be a great way to start the summer if you are hoping to make a leap in your basketball skills. In the event of extreme weather or heavy rain, we may move indoors to the Shelburne Town Gym, and the timing may be shifted to afternoon in some cases depending upon gym availability.
Tyler Macdonald, our Movement teacher and Basketball Coach, holds a B.A. in Transpersonal Psychology from Burlington College and certification in Bothmer teaching. He has extensive training in Spacial Dynamics, graduating from Level 1, a five-year in-service training designed for Waldorf movement teachers, in 2006.
