LCWS offers after school sports for students in sixth grade through high school. The 2024-25 season will include Cross Country, Rowing, Soccer, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Sports Club. Please know that all students are welcome no matter their skill and/or experience level. There is no LCWS fee for after school sports. We encourage families to create a schedule that is manageable for the student-athlete so they can commit fully and gain all of the valuable experiences that come with being part of a team.
Please note: before participating in after school sports, parents or guardians must complete the above Sign Up form and students must submit a Concussion Form and a Wellness Exam form from their physician (more details below). If your child is thinking of joining any of these activities or teams, please sign them up early and get the appropriate paperwork to me as soon as possible. This will ensure that they will be able to play right when the season begins.
Forms to be completed before the start of the season
Below you will find the concussion form for you and your athlete to read and sign as, well as a wellness exam form for your pediatrician to fill out. Both forms will need to be returned to Tyler Macdonald or the Upper School Front Desk via email or hardcopy prior to the start of the season if your child wishes to participate.

Students who end their school days at the Bostwick Campus will be given time to walk to Turtle Lane. If parents/caretakers are more comfortable, they are welcome to drive their student(s) from Bostwick Road to Turtle Lane. There may also be practices and pick-ups at the Shelburne Post Office and parents will always be notified of any pickup that is different from the usual schedule.
Runners will also be competing in meets against local schools. These meets will be held on various days of the week, including one or two weekend options. If your student is in high school and would like to participate in meets please let me know so that I can look into race opportunities. You will find the current meet schedule on the all-school calendar once it is finalized. Please note that it is subject to change.

Students who are dismissed at Turtle Lane may walk as a group to Bostwick Road Campus. However, if parents/caretakers are more comfortable, they are welcome to drive their student(s) from Turtle Lane to Bostwick Road. Through small practice games, drills, and scrimmages, the players will learn the rules and positions of volleyball in a friendly and supportive environment. We are hoping to be able to get one or two games against other schools through this first season. Knee pads are recommended for many players, but other than this players will just need attire they can comfortably move in.
