Join us for the Forest of Magic and Mystery, for children under 11 and their parents. Starting at 4 p.m., “bands of travelers” will follow a path lit with jack-o’-lanterns through the school’s beautiful fields and forest. Along the way they will meet a fatherly magician who has lost his daughter, and a host of fairies, fools, sprites and royals who will give the seekers clues and treasures as they travel in search of the missing princess. Based on Shakespearean characters from The Tempest, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Twelfth Night, this storytelling event will appeal to all–no need to know Shakespeare! At the end of the journey you will find a bonfire where families can gather to warm themselves before heading off into the Halloween night. The Forest of Magic and Mystery is produced in collaboration with Sparkle Stories of Charlotte, Vermont. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP to secure your spot; no entry without reservation. Slots fill up fast so reserve yours today by contacting Pam Graham pgraham@lakechamplainwaldorfschool.org, 985-2827 x12
